Not everyone likes to indulge in sickly sweet treats at a Halloween party, but we’ve got some easy to bake witches fingers with a kick to dip into something bloody and yummy.
- 225g Plain Flour
- 100g Butter-
- 1 Tsp Nico’s Polle Polle Spice Mix
- 16-20 Blanched Almonds
In a bowl, add the flour and Nico’s Polle Polle Spice Mix and combine well. Cut the butter into cubes and rub into the flour until the flour resembles breadcrumbs. Add in 2-3 tablespoons of water and mix to a firm dough. Continue to knead on a floured surface so that the dough is smooth. Cover with cling film and chill for 30 minutes or longer.
Divide the dough into equal parts – you should be able to get 16-20 fingers. Using your hands roll out into knobbly fingers and place onto a baking sheet. Press an almond at the end of each finger and then add creases for the knuckles. Brush with a beaten egg and bake at 190ºC for 15 to 20 minutes until golden.
